Origin Story

Latte Lab made its debut as a popup coffee shop during Hack the Hill's HackHers Hackathon.

What started as "we should probably have coffee" somehow evolved into a fully operational caffeine deployment platform.

Through extensive experimentation, our researchers discovered that:

  • Students like coffee.
  • Developers really like coffee.
  • Hackathon organizers require coffee.
  • People claiming they don't drink coffee eventually ask for hot chocolate.

Marketing

Latte Lab was then was then used as a piece of leverage on Shark Tank to secure funding for the hackathon team. In a last ditch effort to secure the bag, the team promised to deploy a coffee kiosk at the event, which was met with enthusiastic approval from the sharks. Rasing enough money to fund the project.
